Man's Body Found in Richardson Bay Near Belvedere

The body was swollen and appeared to have been in the water for some time, according to Belvedere Police Chief Tricia Seyler.

A man's body was found in the Richardson Bay near Belvedere this morning, Belvedere Police Chief Tricia Seyler said.

A jogger spotted the body in the water near San Rafael Avenue, just north of West Shore Road, and reported it at about 7 a.m., Seyler said.

The Belvedere Fire Department removed the body from the water, fire department Capt. Colin Jackson said.

The Marin County coroner's office is investigating the death, Seyler said.

The man was fully clothed and there were no outward signs of trauma, Seyler said. The body was swollen and appeared to have been in the water for some time, she said.
