Vallejo Man Shot in Marin City

After being shot in the chest twice while sitting in his car, a 21-year-old man was rushed to Marin General Hospital.



A 21-year-old man was shot twice in the chest Thursday night while sitting in his car in Marin City, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of Golden Gate Village Apartments, located in the 200 block of Drake Avenue at 7:30 pm., Sheriff's Lt. Jamie Scardina said. The victim, a Vallejo resident, was transported to Marin General Hospital where he underwent surgery. His immediate condition is not known.

Scardina said that at least 20 people were in the parking lot at the time of the shooting and that the Sheriff's Office is asking for eyewitnesses to come forward.
