Large Rocks Thrown Through Windows on E. Blithedale Ave. and a Woman Gets Run Over By Her Friend

A roundup of this week's police log includes multiple reports of boulders and large rocks being thrown through car and building windows on E. Blithedale Ave., mostly on Saturday night, along with a woman who said her friend ran her over on purpose.

Wednesday, November 21

11:43 a.m. – A woman on E. Blithedale Ave. noticed that her front license plate was missing from her 2005 Chrysler 300 and believes it was taken sometime overnight.

1:46 a.m. – A caller complained about the noise of the fan at 173 Throckmorton Ave. He said it had been off, but was turned on again when the cleaning crew came on-site, and it’s extremely loud. Police contacted the business and the fan was turned off.

Friday, November 23

10:39 a.m. – A Miller Ave. resident reported he hit a car in the parking lot behind D’Angelos last Friday. He said he thinks he scratched the right rear panel of a Lexus SUV and left a note, but hasn’t heard from the owner.

3:55 p.m. – A women on W. Blithedale Ave. reported fraudulent charges on a credit card that she had used with a nonprofit agency that was a former employer. The charges were taken off, but she was then billed by the agency. Police said there was no merit for a crime, and suggested the women call her credit card company.

4:11 p.m. – A silver Chevy Cruze had a flat tire on Camino Alto.

10:47 p.m. – Several young men were playing loudly on the courts at 352 Throckmorton Ave., and left when police told them the area was closed.

Saturday, November 24

5:36 a.m. – The front window of Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy on E. Blithedale Ave. was vandalized and a report was placed on file.

6:02 a.m. – A business on E. Blithedale Ave. was vandalized and police plan to follow up.

9:52 a.m. – A large rock was thrown through the rear window of a car parked on E. Blithedale Ave. sometime during the night. The caller did not want to file a report.

10:04 a.m. – A caller said a rock was thrown through and shattered a plate glass window on E. Blithedale Ave.

4:08 p.m. – A car on E. Blithedale Ave. was struck by several rocks. The windshield was smashed and the side mirror broken, with rocks still on the hood.

5:51 p.m. – A woman on Camino Alto said her friend just ran her over with her car on purpose. A report was filed.

10:17 p.m. – A dog on Shelley Ave. was barking so loudly that the officer on the phone had trouble hearing the caller who was complaining about the noise. Police left a response card at the residence.

Sunday, November 25

9:44 a.m. – A woman received a ticket for parking in a handicapped spot, but said it was actually her designated spot. The space used to be handicapped and was painted over, but the paint had been washed away by the rain.

11:08 a.m. – A women called police after receiving second hand information that the windows of her car on E. Blithedale Ave. were smashed and her cell phone was stolen.

Monday, November 26

7:20 p.m. – A boulder was thrown through the corner window of the complex at 619 E. Blithedale Ave.
