Gunman Shoots Into Marin City Apartment, Resident Okay

Shots were fired at an apartment in Marin City early Friday morning, a Marin County sheriff's lieutenant said.

The gunfire was reported around 1:15 a.m., Lt. Jamie Scardina said.

"Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene and located an apartment on Cole Dr. had been hit by gun fire," the lieutenant said.  "Deputies also located casings near the apartment.

According to the lieutenant, the apartment's resident was home at the time, but was not injured by the gunfire.

There are no suspects or witness at this time, Scardina said. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (415) 479-2311 or Bay Area Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
