Dozens Turn Out for 9/11 Memorial

Firefighters, police officers and local citizens gathered to remember the victims of 9-11 at a ceremony on the steps of City hall on Sunday morning.

On a wet, foggy Sunday morning in downtown Mill Valley Sunday, Fire Chief Greg Moore wasn't sure what the turnout would be for the city's brief for the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

Moore got his answer in the form of dozens of local residents and first responders who came to the City Hall fire station, looking for a way to remember the nearly 3,000 first responders and citizens who lost their lives on that fateful day 10 years ago.

"People said they were really happy to have somewhere to come today to mark this occasion," Moore said. "We're glad they did."
