Cops Say Burglar Disabled Phone, Alarm System to Steal Valuables from Sausalito Home

A burglar disabled an alarm system and a telephone line before stealing jewelry, a laptop computer and bottles of alcohol from a Sausalito residence this weekend, police said.

Police responded around 6 p.m. Saturday to the burglary which likely happened that afternoon, Sausalito police Sgt. Stacie Gregory said.

The burglar disabled the phone line and alarm system before smashing a window to get into the residence on Cloudview Road, Gregory said.

Neither the alarm company nor police were alerted to the burglary, Gregory said.

Police are advising residents and businesses to make sure their phone and alarm systems are secure from tampering.
