CHP: Rock Fall Causes Car Crash, Closure on Highway 101

The early-morning incident happened near Sausalito.

Falling rock and hillside debris caused at least one vehicle on Highway 101 near Sausalito to crash early Tuesday and resulted in a full closure of the southbound lanes for about 90 minutes, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The landslide happened around 2:15 a.m. just south of Rodeo Avenue, according to the CHP. At least one person was hurt.

It took about 90 minutes to clear to highway and reopen it to traffic, the CHP reported. No word on the extent of injuries.
