Bin Laden Stencils and the Sound of Music

This week's roundup of police activities includes plenty of music-related noise complaints and a few minor accidents, reckless drivers and car burglaries.

March 27

6:31 a.m. – A resident of Eton Way reported that a boulder was in the roadway and vehicles had to pass by it one at a time. Police placed cones in the road to guide traffic by the boulder and Public Works officials removed the boulder.

9:28 a.m. – The driver of a champagne-colored Nissan drove off the roadway on Bernard St. and Lovell Ave. and got stuck between a stop sign and the edge of the road. The driver was unable to get his car back on the road. Police helped the driver move the car, which sustained no damage.

11:58 a.m. – A resident reported a group of teens were in the back parking lot of , playing music in a green BMW parked up against the fence. It was unclear if the volume or the quality of the music was the source of the complaint.

1:34 p.m. – A resident reported that his Chevy Traverse was broken into while it was parked in the on Redwood Hwy. between 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m., and his iPad and briefcase were stolen.

6:56 p.m. – A silver SUV struck a black Nissan sedan in the  parking lot on East Blithedale Ave. and drove off. Police gave the driver of the car that was hit advice and determined that it had sustained only minor damage.

March 28

11:55 p.m. – After spotting a gold Toyota weaving in and out of the lane on Camino Alto, a resident tried to detain the driver, who he suspected was driving under the influence, after he parked in the area of 250 Camino Alto. Police went to the scene and contacted the driver, who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

March 29

10:03 a.m. – A resident of Throckmorton Ave. reported that a tractor trailer had gotten stuck in a nearby driveway and appeared to be on the verge of backing into a ditch and damaging the resident’s property. Police went to the scene and the driver of the truck was able to move on without damaging any property.

9:09 p.m. – A resident of Sunrise Ave. reported hearing very loud music nearby. Police went to the area of Sunrise and Janes St. but was unable to hear any loud music.

March 30

10:23 a.m. – Someone spray-painted stenciled images of Osama Bin Laden and some guns on the back door of the at 630 East Blithedale. The owner removed the images and did not have any surveillance footage of the incident.

10:55 a.m. – A resident of Cascade Dr. reported that someone broke into her car between 5:30 p.m. the previous night and 8:30 a.m., stealing her iPad, makeup, keys, jewelry and an iPod. Three locked bikes were also stolen at the property. Police are investigating.

April 1

1:48 a.m. – A resident called police from Miller and Montford avenues to report that a male driver of a silver Honda had been following him very aggressively since near Stinson Beach. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

6:37 p.m. – A resident of Lovell Ave. reported hearing what sounded like three teens in the open space above the area building some kind of fort. The resident reported smelling smoke and said he was concerned that the teens could start a fire. Police went to the area and didn’t hear any construction-related noise, but did hear some young male voices and some music from a residence nearby. They were unable to locate the address of the party.
