May 7

The woman described herself to police as having on a “floral dress and a sad face” as she waited for their arrival.

May 8
7:55 a.m. – A resident of Carmelita Ave. reported that there has been an ongoing problem with reckless driving on the street, with cars “speeding up the hill.” The resident said a car almost hit her and that there are several young children living on the street.

10:10 a.m. – A resident of East Manor Dr. reported that someone from the “Department of Commerce” called to tell her she’d won $450.00. The resident got a phone number for the call, which originated in the 202 (DC) area code. The caller did not ask for anything from the resident and the resident didn’t provide them with any info. No merit to crime.

1:24 p.m. – After waking up to find that his home had been struck with a number of BB gun pellets, an Underhill Rd. resident reported the vandalism, telling police that his neighbor’s kids likely were shooting the gun at wildlife and have bad aim, hitting his house with copper BBs instead.

1:54 p.m. – A resident reported that a Apple Macbook Pro laptop was taken from her unlocked parked car in the Safeway parking lot.

7:36 p.m. – After spotting a large red truck with the logo of “A&M Transport” attempting to make a delivery to the Edna Maguire School construction site and blocking the street in the process. The driver was trying to back into the driveway for 10 minutes and the resident said she was frustrated about the impact of the construction on the neighborhood. When police went to the scene and determined that the delivery had finished and the truck was not blocking the road.

9:10 p.m. – A resident reported that she had parked in the lot behind City Hall and returned to her unlocked car to find that the small brown leather wallet that was sitting on the floorboard of the car had been taken.

9:19 p.m. – A resident of the 200 block of Corte Madera Ave. complained that there was a loud band practicing in the area and they do so every Wed. night. She wanted them to turn down the sound.

May 9

8:44 p.m. – Police received a complaint from someone in the Depot Plaza that a loud band was playing loud music in the area but he could not tell where the noise originated. Police informed the resident that there was an island-style festival in the parking lot of the Greenwood School, including a band and dancers.
