Two Women Suspected of Shoplifting from CVS

Two 20-year-olds face burglary and conspiracy counts after pharmacy employee reports watching them walk out of store with bags full of goods.

Two women were jailed Sunday on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy stemming from a shoplifting incident in Mill Valley, police said.

A staff member at the on East Blithedale Avenue called the at 1:54 p.m. Sunday to report that two women had just left the store without paying for merchandise. The women were last seen heading eastbound on East Blithedale with two large bags of goods.

Responding officers spotted the women and stopped them in the 800 block of East Blithedale at Dorset Lane and determined which woman stole the items. The merchandise was recovered and the women were booked into Marin County Jail.

Dana Nika Dawson, 20, of San Francisco, and Alexius Fontenot, 20, of Marin City face felony charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime. Dawson faces an additional felony count of committing an offense while out on bail.
