This is Not Good-Bye Friends

Lots going on this summer, and we are saying good-by to several excellent Au Pairs and saying hello to several new ones.  I’ve told my Au Pairs to keep moving forward in life, and leaving the US and returning home is part of moving forward.  Upward and onward.  We said good-bye to several yesterday, but I do know that I will be seeing most again one day.  It has been such a pleasure to get to know each and every one of my Au Pairs, and we are all wishing all nothing but success in their future endeavors.

To say good-bye, we had a party!  We had food from some of the home countries of our Au Pairs: Mexico, South Africa, Hungry, China and of course, American food too.  We first watched the final World Cup play-off (many Au Pairs rooting for opposing teams).  Then, thanks to Petra, our activity coordinator extraordinaire, we started to play some games, and I must say, that we had such a fun time, such a good day. Lots of laughter. I think everyone really enjoyed the party a lot.  It is always nice to sit back and watch the Au Pais connect, even for the first time. There is an instant connection that they make, and it is really sweet to watch.  Hop on over to my blog to see photos of our fun day!
