I used to be a avid patch reader for news in my neighbourhood but have seen a rapid decline in content since being acquired by a corporation. Don't we see this all too often were a great idea or product is ruined instead of improved upon. When will all this stop. I'm out of Patch. hopefully another place will pop up that serves our community and stays true to the people it serves. Good bye patch.

I think we're all disappointed at the Patch layoffs, especially right here in Mill Valley. But when Lindsey wrote her goodbye note, I thought there would be no Mill Valley Patch at all. So I was happily surprised that the site didn't completely disappear. I'm going to keep reading with the hope that the new owners might find a way to make Patch profitable and to rehire local reporters. The original Patch was and is a great idea. As newspapers everywhere are struggling to find a profitable model, so too is Patch. I hope they can make it work.

Lindsey, you made a remarkable difference in a very short time and put PATCH on many "must read" lists -- creating a platform that encouraged community links and enabled some in-depth dialogue. Your upbeat personality and willingness to check out the local scene will be missed! thank you for your hard work and perspective!
