Earth Day Marin Festival, Sunday, April 6, 11-5 Redwood High School

*The Earth Day Marin 2014 Festival will be a fun, free, family-friendly event and a day of action on sustainability solutions on Sunday, April 6th from 11am to 5pm at Redwood High School, 395 Doherty Drive, Larkpsur. Rain or Shine. 

*Tim Cain will kick off the event with a song and dance party for kids followed by finalists in the Green Songs Contest by West Coast Songwriters and the Sustainable News and Entertainment Radio, with celebrity host Diana Dehm of SNE Radio. 

*Music includes Swiss star Sareena Overwater, “Singular Voice” Lucia Comnes, and Americana Jam Festival Favorite Alice DiMiceli who will be the featured artist for the 2pm fun filled Water Rally presented by Marin Municipal Water District, and will perform a set afterwards.

*Shore Up Marin will present a Marin-wide forum on Sea Level Rise at 2:40pm. 

*There will be organic fare, hands-on activities, book readings and signings, award-winning storytellers, & films

*Films including Gary Yost’s The Invisible Peak narrated by Peter Coyote and mini documentaries about Marin Clean Energy

*Inspiring speakers including Marin Carbon Project’s John Wick, Marin Municipal Water District Board President Armando Quintero, Citizen's Climate Lobby's Dr. Peter G. Joseph, former Rainbow Warrior Crewman Branden Barber of Amazon Watch, permaculture author Juliana Birnbaum and many others. 

*Students from Greenwood School will present Sea Party featuring educational games for kids. 

*The first 500 attendees to take action on water conservation with Marin Municipal Water District win stainless steel water bottles.
