One Book One Marin Final Event!

Come one, come all to the One Book One Marin culminating ceremony. From the website: "One Book programs take the idea of a localized book discussion club and expand it to cover a whole city or county. Each year, cities across the US select a book of their choice and encourage their communities to read and discuss that book." This year's reading selection was Farm City: the Education of an Urban Farmer by Novella Carpenter, a non-fiction account of Ms. Carpenter's adventures in starting an urban farm in the middle of Oakland. The Mill Valley Public Library has been covering the book in our readers blog, The Deckled Edge.

The One Book One Marin program launched in February of this year and will conclude next week with a conversation between the author, Novella Carpenter, and KQED radio host Michael Krasny. The lively discussion will take place in Angelico Hall at Dominican University, Wednesday, April 30th from 7-8:30pm. The event is free and open to all! With Novella's witty sense of humor, it's sure to be a hoot!
