The application deadline is 5 p.m. Jan. 31 for one vacancy on the Marin County Disaster Council representing District 3 (Mill Valley, Strawberry, Tiburon, Belvedere, Marin City, Tam Valley, Sausalito). The appointing authority is the Marin County Board of Supervisors.
The Disaster Council reviews, evaluates and communicates to decision makers and the public on all matters pertaining to disaster preparedness. Meetings are usually four times per year.
