Mill Valley Actors Take On Comic Roles in 2012 Marin Shakespeare Company Productions

Mill Valley actors Cat Thompson and Jarion Monroe take on comic roles in two outdoor summer productions presented by the Marin Shakespeare Company.

Professional actors Cat Thompson and Jarion Monroe are working under the summer stars this summer in two comedies presented by Marin Shakespeare Company

The Mill Valley actors are both featured in the company's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Marin Shakespeare Company serves up a fun tropical "Hawaiian Punch" of Shakespeare's fanciful comedy where mortals and fairies meet in follies of love.

The outdoor production features Cat Thompson as Titania, Queen of the Fairies and Jarion Monroe as Bottom, an unlikely pair who share a mutual adoration thanks to magical pranks and spells.

A Midsummer Night's Dream continues with weekend performances through Sept. 30.

The two Mill Valley actors also star in the West Coast premiere of The Liar, presented through Sept. 23. This comic romp set in 17th century Paris follows the mishaps of a charming, young man who creates romantic entanglements with his uncontrollable pathological lies.

Outdoor performances are presented at the newly renovated Forest Meadows Amphitheatre, located on the campus of Dominican University of California in San Rafael.
