Where Should Mill Valley Hang Its New ‘Green Power Community’ Designation Signs?

Mill Valley has been recognized by the EPA as one of the top cities in the U.S. to use renewable energy. Now, where to put the new banners?

Mill Valley has been rated number nine in the country for purchasing more renewable energy than what the Environmental Protection Agency requires, and is now trying to figure out where to hang the road signs designating the city as a Green Power Community.

Two 24" x 36" “Welcome to a Green Power Community” banners have been delivered to City Hall, and staff there is considering placing them. Leave your suggestions in the comment section, and take the city's online poll.

The recognition comes from Mill Valley’s purchase of renewable energy through Marin Clean Energy. The city purchases 25 percent more green power than the 20 percent required by the Environmental Protection Agency. Throughout the year, the EPA tracks and reports on green power use compared total electricity use, and Mill Valley is one of the top ten communities in the United States
