California Warriors Join Far West League

The First Base Foundation's Collegiate baseball team is joining the ultra-competitive Far West League!

The Warriors Collegiate Team will be joining the Far West Baseball League in 2013. With its mix of Division I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College players, the Far West League is one of the best summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country.

The Warriors will be joining the 10-team league that includes the two-time defending champion Humboldt Crabs, the Neptune Beach Pearl and the Menlo Park Legends. Each team will play 21 regular season league games, nine weekend series from May 29 to August 4, followed by a playoff for the championship. The FWBL provides an exceptional experience for its players, coaches, and fans alike with national recruitment, fan promotions and contests, and extraordinary stadiums.

The Warriors are excited to play against such premier competition and will be looking to make an impression during their first year in the league. Against a variety of tough competition including three teams from the FWBL, the Collegiate Team posted an excellent record of 35-15 this summer. This is a very exciting step for the Warriors Collegiate team and they are excited to officially be a part of the Far West Baseball League.
