Bay Area Warriors Field Four Summer Baseball Teams

As The First Base Foundation & The Bay Area Warriors gain recognition & demand for roster spots increases, FBF is announcing 2 new teams, 50+ new players, & 5 new coaches for the 2012 summer season.

The First Base Foundation is preparing for the summer baseball season in a big way. As the Bay Area Warriors gain recognition throughout the Bay Area and the high demand for player spots increases, the First Base Foundation is rising to the occasion. We are proud to announce two new baseball teams, 50-plus new players and five new coaches for the 2012 summer baseball season.

With this expansion to the baseball program we will be closer to attaining our goal of creating opportunities for growth as an organization, and to attract more players in the Bay Area.

Our collegiate baseball team will satisfy the demand for players who will play or are currently playing collegiate level ball. This team will provide experience and growth for the 2013 spring college season, while also providing a place for players to hone their skills during this summer season.

The Collegiate team will be coached by Coach Jesse Foppert and Coach Max Venable, both former professional baseball players. This team hopes to find strong competition during this season. The schedule, spanning from May to July, will take them to Central California, Humboldt, Utah, and will also play games at their home field at College of Marin.

The Gold team, lead by Coach Dominic Gentile and Coach Brian Pollzzie, will be the showcase team hosting the Marin Annual Father’s Day tournament. With over 50 games and an invitation to the Headfirst Games Show League, this team will have a schedule comparable to last year’s 19s team, and will primarily prepare high school senior players for the 2013 spring collegiate season.

The Blue Team is primarily comprised of high school sophomores and juniors, and they will play a U18 schedule in preparation for their senior year in high school. With the guidance of Coaches Max Luckhurst and Bryan Faulds, these players will gain collegiate recognition. They will play over 50 games throughout the season, including tournament games in Portland, OR., San Diego, and the 3rd Annual Johnnie Baker Sr. Father’s Day tournament in Marin.

The White Team is our newest team, and it is comprised of high school freshman and sophomores. Lead by Coach Anthony Thomas, this team will play over 30 games in California and Reno, NV. throughout their summer season. This team is designed to prepare players for high school Varsity level ball and to serve as a great introduction for new players to the Bay Area Warriors Program.
