Special Tasting at Equator Coffees at Proof Lab Surf Shop with Fair Trade USA

Join Equator Coffees & Teas and Fair Trade USA on Saturday, October 26 to celebrate the launch of a very special coffee: Guatemala Cafe de Mujeres.

The coffee, produced by a group of 350 women in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala, supports efforts to improve pre-natal health care and nutrition within the community.

Equator Coffee Buyer Catilin McCarthy-Garcia will discuss the health care initiatives and social projects that are benefited from supporting these producers, and she will lead a tasting highlighting the unique characteristics of the coffee.

 Katie Barrow of Fair Trade USA will share photos and stories from her recent visit with the women that worked so hard to produce the coffee.

 All attendees will be entered in a raffle for a Fair Trade gift box, featuring Equator's new Guatemala Cafe de Mujeres.
