Soft Sculpture Workshop with SHANNON SCHMIDT

$50, $40 OHCA members. $5 materials fee.

Make a sculpture that you can touch while exploring new ways of fusing materials together! This class focuses on wrapping, knotting, taping, stapling, gluing, sewing, stitching, stuffing and/or felting to create sculptural forms. We will explore alternative forms of joining as we combine textiles, paper products, plastics, pliable metals, and found objects. Participants are encouraged to bring soft materials, tools and found objects to use or incorporate in their explorations. Various materials will be provided with instruction. RSVP by July 10.
