If you're finding this event you've most likely bellied-up to our bar at Hog & Rocks for a handcrafted cocktail (or a few!), and hopefully one of those has been an Old Fashioned. Well, we've decided to take this show on the road. Saturday, July 12 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. we are launching SlingBAR – our mobile Old Fashioned* pop up bar – at Stable Cafe (2128 Folsom St. @ 17th St.). This traditional whiskey cocktail is a crowd favorite and barman Michael Lazar has sweetened the pot by offering additional variations highlighting rum and tequila, as well.

Rounding out the mix, Chef Robin will be firing up market-driven flatbreads and tossing seasonal heirloom melon salad:

Heirloom melon salad, fire roasted onions, pepper vinaigrette
Summer Flatbread: Corn, pepper, goat cheese, cilantro
Mediterranean Flatbread: Cucumber, yogurt, zhatar 

Limited $30 tickets on sale now for friends of Hog  & Rocks.

Ticket includes entry to the event and four tokens. Each token is valued at $5 a piece. Additional tokens are available for purchase at check-out and will also be available for purchase at the event.

For your friends with commitment issues, limited tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

*Only Old Fashioned cocktails will be served. Repeat, ONLY OLD FASHIONED COCKTAILS. No substitutes and definitely no vodka.

‘Sling,’ the great granddaddy of all modern cocktails, is the name given to the mixture of booze, sugar, bitters, and ice that would become known as the ‘Cocktail’ during the 19th century and as an ‘Old Fashioned’ in the early 20th century. Barman Michael Lazar has established Hog & Rocks as the place for an Old Fashioned cocktail and now, we are taking them on the road with our newest project – SlingBAR. A good cocktail is more than the sum of its parts, it’s an experience. SlingBAR aims to bring you the Old Fashioned experience...anywhere! At each unique venue, we will be there with freshly cut ice, a legit bar set up and enough Old Fashioned cocktails for your whole group.
