Gully Jimson (Alec Guiness) is a somewhat vulgar but dedicated painter in this 1958 film. Released from jail for some indiscretion he immediately beings harassing his wealthiest patron for money and when that fails, he insinuates himself into the home of a would-be patron. Adventures follow.
