Monday Night at the Movies "Strictly Ballroom"

An Australian ballroom dancer, Scott (Paul Mercurio) struggles to establish his personal style of dance in order to win the Pan-Pacific Grand Prix Dancing Championship.  Scott's steps are not "strictly ballroom".  He comes from a family with a tradition of ballroom dancing (as does director, Baz Luhrmann), but faces resistance to his improvisation.  Finally, with a new partner, Fran (Tara Morice), their spritied dancing overcomes the fixed Championship and they are able to dance their passion.
