Monday Night at the Movies "A Room with a View"

Based on the novel by E.M. Forster and set in Edwardian era Florence where Lucy Honeychurch (Helena Bonham-Carter) is vacationing under the supervision  of her chaperone Charlotte (Maggie Smith).  Lucy meets and is attracted to eccentric George Emerson (Julian Sands).  But when she returns to England she must decide whether to follow through with her marriage to her stoic fiance, Cecil (Daniel Day Lewis) or risk following her heart and attraction to George.  The filmwas nominated for 8 Oscars and won 3, including Best Screenplay (Jhabvala)
