Help restore shrinking grassland and chaparral habitat by removing small Douglas-fir trees along the Matt Davis Trail. Chaparral is mainly found in Mediterranean climates - birds, foxes and small mammals live in these shrubs! Grasslands are home to sun-loving plants and animals and are hunting grounds for birds of prey. Mt Tamalpais State Park and Marin Municipal Water District are collaborating in this habitat restoration project. Meet at 9am at the Bootjack parking lot on Panoramic Hwy above Mill Valley. Raffle prizes courtesy of REI. Come join us in stewardship!

Wear close-toed shoes and long pants and dress for variable weather. Bring your lunch, a reusable water bottle and lots of friends! MMWD provides breakfast snacks, water, tools and inspiration.
