Meet George Gordon, Candidate for the Mill Valley City Council

George Gordon invites you to meet with him  to discuss the future of Mill Valley.
He has decided to run for a seat on the Mill Valley City Council for the following reasons:
Pension Plan Reform.
Mill Valley needs to undertake  Pension Plan reform to address and find solutions for its unfunded pension liabilities in excess of $19 million dollars. These unfunded liabilities pose a serious threat to the long term financial vitality of the City.
ABAG – Plan Bay Area.  Plan Bay Area gives unprecedented authority and decision making power to ABAG while curtailing local input. George Gordon believes Plan Bay Area to be a Faustian bargain and as a member of the Mill Valley Council he will propose that Mill Valley, like other communities such as Corte Madera, withdraws from ABAG and Plan Bay Area.
Miller Avenue StreetScape Plan.  After years of talking, community input and consulting fees, the Miller Avenue StreetScape Plan has too many bells and whistles.  Common sense needs to be brought to the table to move this project forward.  For many years, George has advocated for this project and now wants to see it implemented. He believes that with some sensible adjustments, the Miller Streetscape Plan can move forward.
