Grayson Capps with Lansdale Station

Hailing from South Alabama & spending over a decade in New Orleans, revered singer-songwriter Grayson Capps has found listeners the world over enthralled by his stinging tales of the Southern Gothic. His credits include the musical score & a cameo in the Golden Globe-nominated film, "A Love song for Bobby Long" (Scarlet Johansen/John Travolta), HBO's 'Treme', the film "Strawdogs" (Kate Bosworth), 3 tours to Europe, return Bonnaroo & Jazz Fest luminary, and more. He has been continually praised by the likes of Glide Magazine, No Depression, Jambase, Dirty Impound, & Gibson Guitars, to name a few. In his own words, he explains: "I write songs which have the voice of dead prophets masquerading as town drunks screaming 'look at us we're pretty, too!'" Over the course of four critically acclaimed studio albums and a budding film career, one will find a stunning depth to his discography, authenticating Grayson Capps as a rare American gem, equal parts country singer, bluesman, rock star, philosopher and poet. In his own right he is a formidable guitar & slide player with an explosive stage personality reminiscent of Billy Joe Shaver. As Jambase recently declared, "New Orleans' marvel Grayson Capps is alive and well and slowly building one of the most phenomenal songbooks in America today. If ever there were a cat primed to pick up where Lowell George and John Prine have left off, it's Capps." Grayson Capps is currently touring the world in support of his new album, The Lost Cause Minstrels, on the Brooklyn record label Royal Potato Family, and has just finished recording a Cd with the new Alabama super-group "Wille Sugarcapps", featuring veteran players Will Kimbrough(Emmylou Harris,Rodney Crowell,Steve Earle), Corky Hughes (Bo Didley), and Anthony Crawford (Dwight Yokum/ Steve Winwood, Pegi Young).

Marking a 1 & 1/2 year absence, Lansdale Station, beloved powerhouse Marin band, returns to the stage with their debut at the new Sweetwater Music Hall. Spotlighting the talents of Bay Area heavyweights, Judge Murphy on vocals(ZERO/Kimock), renowned songwriter Lauren Murphy on vocals &
guitar(Zero/Kimock), Dave Zirbel on lead guitar, pedal steel, & lap
steel(Tiny Television/Commander Cody), Jim Preston on drums (Sons of Champlin), and Paul Olgin on bass (Maria Muldar/Shana Morrison), Lansdale Station has great reason to be thankful to be taking the stage together again.

Lansdale Station combines high energy stage interaction with finely crafted songs from the heart. Blending country blues with Bay Area psychedelic, this award winning group reminds us of what made the San Francisco Sound so special to begin with. Voted #7 in Jambase's Top 10 Albums, numerous accolades, and a NME video award, the band continues to be lauded by Nationwide and Bay Area top critics and DJ's. The group's dead solid songwriting and crisp musicianship is highlighted by the character filled voices and red hot guitar licks.
