Learn the basics of appreciating and writing haiku. In this pre-Valentine’s Day class, we will explore alternatives to overt expressions of love. Rather than pouring our emotions into poetry, we will focus on using concrete images from everyday life to evoke a more nuanced response from the reader. The emphasis will be on capturing a moment of awareness rather than on counting syllables. Many examples of both Japanese and American literary haiku will be provided as inspiration as you try your hand at writing a few haiku of your own.  RSVP by February 7.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
