Unity Through the Arts, A Celebration of Black History Month with James Henry & Guests

In 1926 Dr. Carter Godwin Woodson, a black historian from Kentucky who earned a Ph.D. from Harvard, established what is now annually celebrated as Black History Month.

Tonight, in celebration of the traditions of African American Heritage, James Henry has put together music and dance to chronicle the journey of the African American people:

Classic Jazz of the 1920's, Be Bop of the 1940s, Mainstream 1950s, Bossa Nova 1960s, Afro-Cuban 1980s, Jazz Rap 2000s.
