Come work on inspiration from nature using mixed media of watercolor, graphite, tape and sumi ink! Analyze growth and structure of plants and other forms of nature using live flowers and leaves as models for drawing and painting, then explore how to turn this in to abstract images.  Participants will discuss the history of abstract art and using nature as inspiration.  A few meditative 10 minute warm-ups will begin the creativity before beginning the actual painting.  Participants will work on a variety of techniques and color schemes/palettes using different tools for mark-making.  Please bring your own watercolor set and watercolor paper.    Some materials will be provided.  Should you have an object that has inspired you...Now is the time to bring it! RSVP the Wednesday prior to each session.
