Lorin Rowan's Rattlebox performs tonight at Sweetwater Music Hall.
“Progessive Americana” is the music of ‘Rattlebox’, featuring guitarist/singer-songwriter Lorin Rowan (Rowan Brothers,San Francisco Music Club,The Edge)with his finger pickin' acoustic roots in folk/rock and world music, complementing his clear tenor vocal, backed by fellow musicians, Barry Sless, steel guitar extraordinaire, (Phil Lesh & Friends, David Nelson Band,Moonalice); and cellist virtuoso, Doug Harman (Norton Buffalo, Alex DeGrassi, Susan Cianni).
The combination of these musicians and their unique cutting-edge instrumentation highlight their ‘outside-the-box’ improvisations as they interweave together, creating a fresh, exciting sound with powerful melodies, intriguing lyrics, and dazzling instrumental interludes.
