Floating Records Presents a Benefit for the Mill Valley Library Foundation

“The best damn band in the North Bay."
- DJ Cuppa Joe, KALX-FM, Berkeley

Just 2 years old and gaining fast momentum on the local music scene, Marble Party is part indie rock, part power pop, and a hint of psychedelia. Their debut album Lyle is hot off the press and getting great reviews. Undeniably catchy, subtly cheeky, and totally original, Marble Party’s songwriting – and live performances – have an energy and edge that will pull you right in.

Dredgetown is the result of the melding of several of the bay area’s most fertile musical circles. The band formed in early 2012 in Sausalito, CA and takes its name from the funky houseboat-community that sprung up there in the early 1970’s. Some of the region’s most seasoned and talented local players joined forces to create a project dedicated to musicianship, groove and the joy of musical expression. The band performs original music and covers, bringing together elements from the Bay Area’s funk, soul and jam-band roots to deliver an undeniably good-time feel that is firmly-rooted in the “pocket”.

The Mill Valley Library Foundation fundraises, advocates, and provides vital support for the Mill Valley Public Library.
