Equator Coffees @ Proof Lab Coffee Bar

Come Join us at our Proof Lab Coffee Bar for a Special Tasting Comparison of two Gesha-variety coffees!

We’re introducing a new Gesha-variety coffee from the Mama Cata farm in Panama. The Mama Cata farm has special bragging rights this year because it was awarded first place in the washed Gesha category in the Best of Panama competition. Although this coffee is not the auction winning lot itself, we feel this Gesha offering is one of the best we have tasted in recent memory. We’re tasting flavors of extremely complex and juicy pineapple, white grape and deep floral tones.                                                                                                      The Colombia Gesha Peaberry is produced by our partners at Granja La Esperanza. This lot is made up of peaberries, a type of bean that results when the coffee fruit develops a single oval bean rather than the usual pair of flat-sided beans. This coffee is smooth and silky with lush floral, cocoa and notes of sweet orange and lemon zest.
