CALICO the band and Crosby Tyler - Sweetwater Music Hall, July 22nd: Free Show at 5:30pm

CALICO THE BAND BRINGS SULTRY CALIFORNIA COUNTRY TO MILL VALLEY’S HISTORICAL SWEETWATER MUSIC HALL ON MONDAY, JULY 22nd WITH CROSBY TYLER

CALICO the band, the California Country female Americana trio kicks off the summer tour season announcing 18 West Coast shows. On Monday, July 22nd CALICO comes to Mill Valley’s historical Sweetwater Music Hall (19 Corte Madera Ave. Mill Valley, CA 94941) performing from 5:30 to 7:00pm joined by Crosby Tyler – The One Man Tub-Thumpin’ Band.  This marks CALICO’s first performance at Sweetwater. Admission is free.

CALICO the band is a singer-songwriter “supergroup” that formed in late 2012 combining the talents of troubadours Kirsten Proffit, Jaime Wyatt, and Manda Mosher to create a refreshing lush 3-part harmony vocal sound reminiscent of an earthier Dixie Chicks mixed with Crosby, Stills, and Nash. CALICO represents GRETSCH Guitar’s roots instrument line collectively playing acoustic guitar, resonator, mandolin, banjo and harmonica.

Since forming at the end of 2012, CALICO has quickly become
one of the most popularly requested acts in the Southern California and Arizona live music scenes. The girls are putting finishing touches on their first EP while keeping up with an aggressive tour schedule, which has had them playing over 50 shows already this year.

Crosby Tyler – The One Man
Tub-Thumpin’ Band returns to Sweetwater joining CALICO.  Blend backporch-bluegrass
with Delta blues, add a keen sense of social commentary, wrap it up in a
one man band and you have CROSBY TYLER-THE ONE MAN TUB-THUMPIN' BAND.  His
two critically acclaimed albums "10 SONGS OF AMERICA TODAY" &
"LECTRIC PRAYER", and national and international tours, have sent
critics to praise "hallelujah" that a fresh voice has emerged with
lyrics and melodies that pierce through the plasticity and mundane of society. Social misfits, addicts, railroad kids, circus clowns, outlaws,
truckers, are placed in present day tongue and cheek narratives and self explorations,
pounded out in a one man band assault. Influenced by roots music from the
present day to the early 1800's his songs will transcend you as if you were at
a campfire sing-a-long with Stephen Foster and Charles Bukowski. Press contact: info@calicotheband.com
