Buddhist Basics: A Five-Week Course

The Buddhist Temple of Marin presents “Buddhist
Basics”, a weekly study class exploring in detail the principles of
Buddhism.  Classes begin Jan. 2
from 7:30 9:00pm, and will be taught by Catherine Shaw, a temple member and
local Buddhist scholar.  A donation
of $40 will be collected at the first class.  For more information or to register for the course, go to
the temple’s website at www.buddhisttempleofmarin.org
or email info@buddhisttempleofmarin.org.

Catherine Shaw has been reading about Buddhism
since the 1950’s, and in 2000 received her M.A. degree in Buddhist Studies from
the Institute of Buddhist Studies.
She has studied Nyingma
Buddhism under Lama Gonpa Tseden, Rinpoche, and loves to discuss the Buddhadharma
to anyone who is interested.
