The Presidio Quintet play at Outdoor Art Club April 3 FREE & Open to the Public

Outdoor Art Club's Cultural Arts Event featuring members of the Mill Valley Philharmonic, the Presidio Quintet on April 3rd is Free and open to the public.

For one hour, from 1 to 2pm leave the stress behind and surround yourself with the sounds of music and the scents of our lovely spring garden.

The Presidio Quintet, comprised of members of the Mill Valley Philharmonic, will present a program of chamber music featuring women composers, including Elinor Remick Warren (Quintet), Amy Beach (Pastorale), and Joan Trimble (Three Diversions). The Quintet will also play arrangements of several piano works by Sergei Prokofiev.
The Presidio Quintet, established in 2007, is a traditional woodwind ensemble that explores and performs a variety of chamber music, from classical to modern, spanning several centuries of composition.

The Quintet’s members (in the photo L/R) are Mary Jane Evans, French horn; Anthony Perry, oboe; Nance F. Becker, flute; Peter Krag, clarinet; Lisa Gerbrecht, bassoon. All are members of the Mill Valley Philharmonic, an award-winning community orchestra committed to presenting innovative programming, from masterworks to world premieres.

Experiencing music as a community unites our spirits, so please invite friends and family to this free concert in the Outdoor Art Club’s historic Maybeck-designed clubhouse. Surrounded by our spring garden, downtown Mill Valley will seem a world away.
