Summer on the way! Larkspur Flower and Food Festival May 26th

The community flows into the streets of downtown Larkspur for the annual Larkspur Flower and Food Festival.  This free, fun family event is a welcome to summer celebration.  Join the Larksur Community Association and your neighbors Memorial Day weekend on Sunday for a day in the sun with live muisc, good eats and cool arts, crafts and gourmet food vendors plus the salsa tasting competition.  Hope you will join us.

Larkspur CA – The Larkspur Community Association invites you to celebrate the beginning of summer with good food and music. The Larkspur Flower and Food Festival is now in its’ 24th year! Nestled at the foot of majestic Mt. Tamalpais, Magnolia Avenue is a perfect setting to enjoy California’s summer offerings of nature’s bouquets and taste samples of the Bay Areas finest gourmet foods. Gourmet and specialty food vendors will be sampling out their products and inspiring the home chef and the festival will feature flower related arts and crafts to buy.

Back by popular demand is the “Marin Salsa Tasting Competition” held in the Larkspur Fire Station form 2:00 to 4:00.  Individual and restaurants will sample their finest salsas either mild, spicy or specialty and you the taster get to decide the winners in each category.

Fun kids activities will be sponsored by the Twin Cities Co-Op. Music stage starts off with the fabulous Marin Community Chorus at 11:30 then dance in the street to three amazing rock bands: The Doc Kraft Band at 12:30, Revolver at 2:30 and the Unauthorized Rolling Stones at 4:30!
