Marin County Supervisor Susan Adams recently viewed the Marin Medical Reserve Corps disaster preparedness equipment and new AED units.

Marin Medical Reserve Corps (MMRC) Foundation is pleased to announce that they have received a grant from Marin County.  The funds were used to purchase three AED (automated external defibrillator) units for the use in the event of cardiac arrest. The cardiac defibrillators are added to the Marin Medical Reserve Corps disaster supplies, which are stored in community trailers.

Supervisor Susan Adams, District 1, Marin County Board of Supervisors recently viewed the Marin Medical Reserve Corps disaster preparedness equipment and new AED units.  See attached photos.

The MMRC Foundation is an independent 501c3 non- profit corporation which was established in 2010 for the purpose of fund raising for the unmet needs of the Marin Medical Reserve Corps.

The Marin Medical Reserve Corps was initiated by the US Home Land Security after 9/11 as a medical volunteer segment of public health and disaster preparedness programs. There are approximately 1,000 units in the United States with volunteer membership of over 200,000. The Marin Medical Reserve Corps is the largest volunteer organization in Marin County, boasting nearly 400 professional medical and support staff volunteers who are dedicated and trained to serve their communities when needed.
