Five-year-old Diego is currently our longest canine shelter resident!
This sweet, sensitive guy is ready to settle into a new home with some like-minded peeps who will spoil him ... just enough. His cute long nose and darling soft eyes suggest he is part Dachshund and possibly Chihuahua - an awesome combination!
Diego's previous guardian told us he enjoys daily walks, chasing squirrels, and sun bathing on the deck. Diego is best suited to a family with teens rather than younger children. Having someone home most of the day would be ideal. Since he is uncertain about new people and being handled, our behavior staff will give his new family tips and suggestions on how to help Diego gain confidence and settle into his new home. He adores the outdoors; going for walks is a better choice for exercise than dog parks, which tend to feel like frat parties to sweeties like Diego. This lovely guy is ready to kick back and enjoy the easy life with someone as nice as you.
