The Best Italian Food in Marin

As determined by Patch readers throughout the county in our first Best Of/Readers Choice Awards

The weather is nice, hopefully it is a quiet weekend for you, so why not think about heading out for lunch or dinner this weekend. If Italian food sounds good, check out what Patch readers across the country said this week about where their favorite locations are.

One thing is very clear, there's a TON of great Italian restaurants in the county, just look at the stories on the various Patch sites and what readers say about the various eateries.

In Mill Valley, readers sounded off on why Frantoio is their favorite stop for Italian fare.

Bistro Ginolia, a newer Italian location, came out at the top of the reader selections in San Rafael.

Speaking of newer locations, Novato readers stated their top choice was a very new location, as Muscio's is only weeks old but it jumped out in the minds of readers.

San Anselmo fairfax readers found Sorela's Caffe as their premier locale for going Italian for a meal.

In the Twin Cities of Larkspur and Corte Madera, it was Benissimo that climbed to the top of the reader charts.

Try Chianti in Novato. Great food, great service, welcoming staff. Make reservation in advance. It is most always packed. This one should have made the list.

Chianti did a fantastic wine and dinner pairing with a Napa winemaker. Great idea and success!
