Score Free Coffee Today in Marin

Looking for a reason to try the holiday flavors at Starbucks? How about a free drink.

Every so often, Starbucks runs a promotion that takes the sting out shelling out $4 or $5 for a drink.

Here’s the next one: Thursday through Sunday, you can buy one holiday drink and get one free between 2 and 5 p.m. The free beverage, of course, must be of equal or lesser value.

This year's holiday beverages include hot, iced or blended versions of Peppermint Mocha, Skinny Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Latte, Eggnog Latte and Caramel Brulée Latte.

Starbucks Corporation advertisements are news stories now? Think I'll (continue to) pass, thank you.

I agree with Jack. This isn't free, you have to buy something. Also, Patch, you guys have been getting spammed for a week or more now in your calendar listings by someone posting links to "movies to download" - is anyone home at patch to edit those submissions so your calendar doesn't get junked up and become useless?
Jessica Mullins November 15, 2012 at 05:57 PM
A, anytime you see something that looks like spam please don't hesitate to e-mail a Patch editor (i'm jessica.mullins@patch.com) to alert us. We need our readers to help us with these kind of issues.

Thanks A - ditto to what Jessica said. We regularly get targeted by spammers and it's often overnight when we aren't able to deal with it immediately, so if you see spam, please do let us know - much appreciated. As for your and Jack's comments about the Starbucks item, point well taken.

Wow, 1600 calories of chain store high fructose and caffeine obesity goodness for the price of only 800 calories!
