POST YOUR PHOTOS: Black Friday in Marin

Did you encounter long lines while shopping on Black Friday in Marin? Upload your photos from the day here.

Black Friday is among us, and we want you what y’all are up to.

Did you get up early to wait in lines before the stores opened or did you shop on Thanksgiving and stay up late?

Sears, Target and Toys R Us were among the shops that opened late yesterday. Other stores – including Macy’s, Best Buy and Old Navy – opened at midnight. Thousands signed online petitions against big box stores opening on Thanksgiving.

Many big box stores were offering “doorbuster” deals to entice shoppers to stay up all night long. If you went, was it worth it? How late were you up?

If you stayed home and avoided the stores, why? When do you plan on doing your holiday shopping?

Share you thoughts in the comments and just hit “upload photos” to add your Black Friday images.

I don't have any specific thing I want or need. Kids grew up, unemployed since 2010 (my job was outsourced to India!), really don't need much to live on, as long as I can exercise, stay healthy, then I'm happy!

The mall at Northgate was quiet when we went at 3:30AM. We found some good deals and we also found GANDALF. Sadly, he wasn't for sale.
