One of the purposes of this burgeoning collaboration is to formulate a community approach to address school attendance and parental involvement in their children’s education.  Another purpose is to connect Golden Gate Village with resources to further their higher education goals and to increase incentives relating to education for Golden Gate Village students.  The Back-to-School Celebration will bring the community together and reinforce these partnerships, as well as continue to show support for parents and children embarking on a new year of learning.

Parents, children, community supporters, organizations, and public agencies that serve our youth will be out in force in school/college wear to enjoy speakers, barbecue dinner, Astro Jump, games, a DJ, entertainment, resource information and a giveaway of prizes.
