The director and actor will be filming a scene for his new romantic comedy in Marin County and the crew is looking for "clean cut, sophisticated, conservative looking Marin types 30s-40s" to cast as extras.

Woody Allen is in the Bay Area directing a romantic comedy film about a woman trying to make it on a budget when she moves to San Francisco after her posh New York City lifestyle comes crashing down, according to the San Francisco Film Commission.

The untitled film by the actor/director behind the movies Annie Hall and Midnight in Paris started shooting Friday in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood.

Allen will be filming around the Bay Area, including in Marin, until the end of the month, a film commissioner said.

The North Bay Bohemian has reported that Allen will be filming a "daytime party scene" on Monday, Aug. 6 in Marin and that the filming crew is looking for extras.

According to the casting call, extras should be:

Clean cut, Sophisticated, Conservative looking Marin types 30s - 40s for daytime party scene. Must have upscale attire options, suits, dresses etc. Must be avail all day Mon 8/6 for 12-14 hr shoot starting by or before 6AM in Marin County and have your own transportation.

Looks like the pay will be $8 an hour.

The film crew and cast -- which is rumored to include Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin, Peter Sarsgaard and comedian Louis C.K. -- will be set in the Mission, the avenues in the western end of San Francisco, the Marina District and parts of Marin County, according to the commission.

Some Bay Area actors are supposed to be included in the project, which will also include filming shoots in New York City.

The film commission said the movie is about a wealthy woman who finds herself broke and in San Francisco, living with her sister and downsizing her life.

She eventually meets a man in the Bay Area who could solve her financial problems, but she first needs to discover who she is and, more importantly, accept San Francisco as her home.

The film, produced by Perdido Productions based in New York, is expected to be released by the end of 2013.
