Viewfinder: Traffic, Tunes and Library Amnesty

New sidewalks being poured and library fines being waived this week while music is heard in Old Mill Park.

Although Spring Break has many residents out of town this week, traffic coming into Mill Valley has been delayed as new sidewalks are being installed along East Blithedale Ave. between East Drive and Elm Avenue. Traffic has been reduced to one lane and will continue to be through Friday, when the new concrete will be poured as part of the City’s 2010 Pedestrian Safety Improvement Plan.

Also this week, the Mill Valley Public Library is celebrating its centennial year and National Library Week by waiving up to $50 in fines on overdue books that are returned by April 16th.

Finally, our Viewfinder caught musicians and songwriters, Adam Lesassiei-Kirk and Enzo Garcia practicing under the redwood trees in Old Mill Park this week.
