Viewfinder: Mill Valley Turns Into Waterworld

The rain and runoff from the recent storms have caused Mill Valley streams and creeks to swell and created some beautiful scenes.

The unrelenting rain of the past week has caused our streams and creeks to fill with rapidly flowing water, catching the attention of local residents and our Viewfinder.

Cascade Creek in Old Mill Park and Cascade Falls provided excellent vantage points to view the runoff from Mount Tam. But the beautiful rapids and waterfalls were not the only things caused by the storms. Strong winds tumbled trees and caused numerous power outages throughout Mill Valley, keeping repair crews busy this week.
