Viewfinder: Concerts, Chess, Soccer and More

Free concerts and chess games in the Depot Plaza, locally grown produce, soccer kick-off classic, a new children's shoe store, work at Mill Valley Middle School and more Mill Valley dogs.

Our viewfinder captured the last free concert in the Mill Valley Art Commission’s 26th annual season of Concerts in the Plaza. Also at the Depot this week was a 12-year-old chess player that seemed to be holding his own against his adult opponents.

Over at Mill Valley Market our viewfinder found a truckload of fresh produce from some local gardens and farms.  Around the corner at 85 East Blithdale a new shoe boutique just for children, the "buzy beez", was holding a grand opening party.

The Tiburon – Mill Valley Fall Kickoff Soccer Tournament was held this past weekend with youth soccer teams from throughout the Bay Area participating.  The annual tournament was hosted by the Tiburon Peninsula Soccer Club and the Mill Valley Soccer Club and included boys and girls teams in the under 10 years old to the under-16 age groups.

If you missed our slideshow of the dogs of Marin, we have included a few more photos from last weekend’s Third Annual Dog Show hosted by Whole Foods Mill Valley.

Finally, we caught the roofers in action over at Mill Valley Middle School.
