Viewfinder: Boat Races, Foot Races and More

A paper boat making event at Mill Valley Library, the 2011 Marin Human Race, a mustache-oriented charity event at the Cantina and recycling at Tamalpais High School.

As part of its , the hosted a paper boat making event that would have made Curious George proud. More than 100 children and their parents participated in the event at the library, led by Jeremy Shafer aka Jeremy the Juggler. The event ended with all the kids floating their vessels in the creek behind the library in Old Mill Park.

Late last week our Viewfinder found many Mill Valley residents at celebrating . On Saturday, we found more Mill Valley residents participating (and many winning) in the . At the same time many local residents were making donations at the electronic waste recycling event benefiting the school's organic garden.
