As the Sweetwater Music Hall rides a wave of success since its opening in January, Mill Valley photographer Suki Hill takes us on a trip back to the mid-1990s for a look at the original Sweetwater and Jeanie Patterson, the woman was its heart and soul.

In one of the photos of Jeanie, you'll spot the mandala quilt, the 15-foot-wide circular quilt made from pieces of colored suede, which hung on the right side of the stage since the early 1970s. The quilt was stolen from the Sweetwater in September 2007, the same week the venerable venue closed its doors.
